COMPANY PROFILE

WB Civil Structural Engineers was established in 2004. At the start of the company its founder Director Priyan Wijeyeratne, a qualified Civil/Structural Engineer, who studied both in the UK and Australia, carried out design and construction of homes in the West of Melbourne.

Having seen a growth of work and experience, he then undertook design of structures mainly for foundations, retaining walls & on-site detention projects. Now, the company is well established as a Civil/Structural Design, Building Structural Inspections and Project Management services provider.

Priyan Wijeyeratne, graduated in Civil/Structural Engineering from Middlesex University in 1979. As a young Engineer, he worked as the Site Engineer for three highrise building (12 storeys) projects over a period of five years in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

On arrival in Perth Western Australia in 1984, Priyan became a memeber of the Institution of Engineers Australia (Member No: 38448). Currently, a Registered Professional Engineer (PE 2448) in Victoria.

Priyan then went on to work for Local Government (Priyan's CV) and alway kept his Structural Engineering knowledge/experience alive and in 1993 was awarded the degree of MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering by RMIT University, Melbourne.

Later he topped up his Project Management skills by completing MTech in Project Management from Deakin University, Australia.

The company was established under a family trust, and registered as West Builders Pty Ltd. (ABN: 84119322436), and currently, trading as WB CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS.
